clubs in the UK have been struggling for numbers and many have folded, but there
are still a lot of keen players with nowhere to go on an occasional basis to meet
up and share techniques.
Some are already meeting at various “interesting
sites” and this idea is worth promoting as an alternative for people that
are into some serious learning.
One way it could work is that people get
together at various places for day trips or maybe use a campsite as a base.
So
if you’ve got an idea for a KeenScene meet, post the date and area on the
shed wall with your contact details.
Even if you’d prefer to keep
your get-together amongst friends, we hope the idea has inspired you into action
in some way, and we’d love to post up your pictures in the shed gallery.
As this is aimed at those interested in learning on a more serious level it may
only appeal to a small minority, however the beauty of the concept is that it
doesn’t matter how many get involved, there’s nothing to lose.
